Fitted into a recess in the door. A very secure, traditional option for wooden front and back doors.
The most common cylinder type in the UK. Used in most multi-point locking systems on modern doors.

Spring-bolt locks that lock automatically when the door closes. Often used alongside a mortice lock.

Mounted on the surface of the door rather than recessed in. Common on older properties.

Can only be opened with a key – no spring mechanism. Highly resistant to forced entry.
